Election Day: November 3, 2026!

Infrastructure & Smart Growth

Smarter growth, safer roads, and real solutions that put our communities first—not developers

An environmentalist, small business owner and mom

I'm running for County Council - District 1 because we need to do a better job protecting our local environment, improving infrastructure and making sure working families can afford to live here. We need a more thoughtful plan and intention for how we continue to develop our community. Smarter growth, safer roads and real solutions that prioritize residents over revenue. Charleston County should work for the people who call it home and I'm ready to fight for a better Mount Pleasant by bringing transparency and accountability back to County Council.

Fighting for Our Community

Infrastructure & Smart Growth

Smart planning for the future

Charleston County’s growth must be managed with intention. I will advocate for investments in roads, drainage, and flood prevention, while ensuring development is aligned with infrastructure capacity—so our communities stay safe, accessible, and resilient.

Sustainable Development

Protecting What Makes Charleston Home

Preserve Charleston County’s natural beauty and environmental integrity.

Protect wetlands and green space through regional partnerships and responsible planning, ensuring growth never comes at the cost of our environment or quality of life.

Developer Accountability

Putting Residents Before Special Interests

Local government should work for residents—not developers. I will push to remove developer influence from decision-making processes and put an end to irresponsible practices like clear-cutting and inappropriate zoning that disrupt neighborhoods.

Workforce Housing

Housing for Those Who Serve Our Community

Charleston County thrives because of its teachers, first responders, and essential workers. Katie will support smart zoning policies that expand workforce housing, making it possible for the people who serve our community to live in the communities they serve.
