Bring accountability back to County Council

Katie is a small business owner in Mount Pleasant with a degree in Environmental Studies and Policy, as well as the mother of two young daughters that attend Charleston County Public Schools.

Katie is running for Charleston County Council because she believes our community deserves leadership that puts residents first. As Charleston continues to grow, Katie is committed to making sure that growth is thoughtful, transparent, and guided by the needs of the people who live here. She believes local government should listen, respond, and act in the best interest of the community.

Protecting Charleston County’s natural resources is a top priority. Katie will work to preserve wetlands and green space through sustainable development and regional partnerships. She understands that responsible planning is essential to maintaining the beauty, character, and long-term resilience of our community.

Katie also believes in making Charleston County more accessible and affordable for the people who keep it running every day. She will support workforce housing solutions for teachers, first responders, and essential workers, while also pushing for stronger accountability in local government and reducing the influence of developers on key decisions.

As our county continues to grow, infrastructure must keep pace. Katie will prioritize improvements to roads, drainage, and flood mitigation to protect neighborhoods and improve daily life. She is committed to smart growth that keeps our communities safe, connected, and prepared for the future.
