Crafting for the Campaign at Hobcaw Brewing
Hello! I live in Brickyard and am the Democratic nominee for Charleston County Council.
I decided to run because of my two daughters, who attend Jennie Moore, and because I’ve spent the past 15 years watching our County representative make poor decisions on zoning and land use.
I have a degree in environmental studies and understand how wetlands function, how infrastructure breaks down, and how quickly community resources can be depleted when planning and zoning prioritize development over safety and quality of life.
But enough about me! I’d love to get to know you—and help us get to know one another. So, we’re hosting a fun, social evening of crafting for the campaign and adult beverages on October 7th! It’s a chance to expand your community, meet your neighbors, and help elect a uniquely qualified Democratic woman to local office.
We can absolutely win this election, but I need your help reaching the last few hundred voters. We promise to make the evening comfortable, sociable, and neighborly. This is how we win elections.

Mount Pleasant voters, Charleston County Council is the government that directly affects our day to day lives. Local government should be boring. Yet, in Charleston County, the failure of County government to ensure smart growth is on top of mind every time we leave the house.
If traffic gets better or worse
If our roads improve or become even less safe
If land becomes green space, a commercial corridor or a high density housing development
If schools facilities and roads have to be in place before a new housing development can be built
If public school teachers and firefighters can afford to live in the communities they serve
If a hyper-scale Ai data center comes to your community
